Schwertberg Castle is a castle complex in Upper Austria and is located on the edge of the town of Schwertberg in the Mühlviertel. The castle was first mentioned in the 14th century and was expanded to its current size in 1608. The castle has been owned by the Count Hoyos family since 1911.
The romantic castle is located between Vienna and Salzburg in Upper Austria. From there you can take sightseeing tours to the famous St. Florian Monastery, Linz or day trips to Vienna or Salzburg.
The castle is nestled between the forest, a beautiful garden, the river Aist and all necessities in town are within walking distance (supermarket, bakery, drugstore, pharmacy, pizzeria, etc.) The large swimming pool, bathhouse and tennis court are located in the forest. There are countless tours for enthusiastic cyclists (e.g. along the Danube) and fishermen get their money's worth.
